Christmas Again?

December 21, 2008
We had Christmas at Spencer's house. We ate Mexican yummy food, played bingo, played hand bells and enjoyed being together. Christmas is so busy but really would we have it any other way?

Grandpa's Birthday

December 20, 2008
After Kaytlyn's last volleyball game we met Grandpa for his 65th Birthday. We ate at IHOP, talked, and laughed. We got compliments on how well behaved the girls were. Could we be more blessed!

Ward Christmas Party

Four years ago we were in Kingswood Park ward and then we were put in Surprise 2nd. Then this year we were put back in Kingswood Park ward. We have lived in Surprise for over 11 years and it is incredible how much it has grown. I can't even begin to think of how many wards we have been in and how many times our ward has been split. Here we are at our "new" ward Christmas party. Just think we have lived in the same neighborhood for the last 11 years :).

December 19, 2008
It was the last day of school and Mark and I were both able to go up to the school. Kayley was still home from her surgery so we dropped her off to visit her classroom and went to Kaytlyn's class play. When it was over we made the rounds to visit them all. This is the kind of thing I want to soak up. They are getting so old.

All Girl

December 16, 2008
Ok so when my Mom brought Kensley home she had a new umbrella. She explained to me that she was being picked on at school for having boy stuff (superman backpack and spider man umbrella). So she bought her this new one. It had cherries on it and was red. When Mark came home I was telling him about what she had said. I had Kensley go get the new one to show it off. Well when she opened it we couldn't get it to close. I was going to rain the next day again or still...I said maybe she could borrow Kaytlyn's and Kaytlyn could borrow mine. That seemed to sit ok with everyone. I also had picked up a blue High School Musical backpack for her. So after that we gave the kids their "pillowcase" presents and hers was the new backpack. Keep in mind it was all sparkly. When she opened it she started to cry. She said kids will still make fun of her
:( since it was blue. It was almost 9 and their bedtime is 8. Mark said go get out of your jammies and get dressed we are going shopping. So the whole family went to get her a new backpack. The choices were very limited on umbrellas since it was a rainy day so we got the pokadot blue one...Daddy said boys don't have pokadot ones. Mark also wanted to replace her jacket since it was blue but Kenny said that it ws ok she likes that and no one made fun of it. Mark is usually so passive about EVERYTHING but not this. I was so proud that he took it seriously and fixed it then and there! What a great Dad they are so lucky!

Kensley's Book Exchange

Kensley's class made a cookbook and this card was on the front PRICELESS!

So most of the time things at the school are in the afternoon and Jaime will willingly watch the kids for me, but this one was in the morning and I found out too soon to reschedule my class. So what do I do I call my mom. Seriously what would I do with out her. She went to her class to watch her and Kenny was SO excited! When they came home I took this pic...It was early but my mom couldn't leave beause when she said goodbye Kenny welled up with tears so she caved and signed her out early. They went and had lunch together and then went back to her house and sewed. How great is she! Thanks Mom!

Christmas with Grandpa and Grandma

December 14, 2008
We had a very yummy dinner when we got together for Christmas with Alan and Teri. Jaime and I made soup. We wanted it to be simple but I think it turned out to be my favorite meal of the holidays. We did a nativity with all the kids. They were so cute and hopefully they got something out of it. Teri made the aprons we are wearing. She is so talented. Her gift was so thoughtful and useful! My girls are so blessed with so many grandparents. Family makes everything better!
